Internship from the Netherlands at a company in Spain

There I was in the week of March 5th, without an internship. I had to stop my internship in Amsterdam because the extensive traveling from Zwolle was taking its toll on me. And since I take my mental and physical health seriously, it seemed better to quit. But, what now? I had to find a new internship for another period of 4 months.

Over the past year, I have been fortunate to organize many beautiful things for her books together with Joyce. The company she runs with her husband Joost is an inspiration to me, and they taught me during a Business Bootcamp to step out of my comfort zone. So when I thought about a replacement internship, I had to think of them immediately. I sent Joyce a message and waited patiently. After some WhatsApp messages and phone calls back and forth, we concluded that it was too short notice to go to Spain, so an online internship would be a nice option. After a good conversation with Joost, we made clear agreements and I could start within two weeks! School also agreed and found this a nice challenge to work in this way. It felt very good to hear that all parties had confidence in me and that I could show more of my responsibility and creativity, and that I had freedom in this.

Currently, I am in my third month, with about another month and a half to go. I am having a great time. Sometimes I do feel a bit sad that I am not like all the other interns in Spain. But I also really enjoy the freedom and peace at my own desk. At the moment, I am mainly involved in the Your Journey business sector. I assist in Joyce’s Study Choice & Stress podcast (link to podcast), I help create TikToks for JongLeren.es, and I do promotion for Joyce’s books. In addition, I write the newsletters every week for both JongLeren.es and Your Journey. Time is flying by and I will be really sad when this internship is over. Although I would like to do an internship at JongLeren.es in Malaga itself in the future.

Are you also considering an internship in Spain and looking for a good internship mediation company or an internship position at JongLeren itself? Then I really recommend contacting them. Joost, Joyce, and the rest of the team are really great! There is a lot of room for learning and getting to know yourself. And there is a solution for everything. I love the way of thinking within the team, and that makes me grow too. No matter how small that growth is.
